Having to prove the existence of God to an atheist is like having to prove the existence of the sun, at noon on a clear day. Yet millions are embracing the foolishness of atheism. “The Atheist Delusion” pulls back the curtain and reveals what is going on in the mind of those who deny the obvious. It introduces you to a number of atheists who you will follow as they go where the evidence leads, find a roadblock, and enter into a place of honesty that is rarely seen on film.
From Living Waters, creators of the award-winning TV program “The Way of the Master” and the hit movies “180” and “Evolution vs. God,” comes the powerful film “The Atheist Delusion.” Executive produced by TV co-host and best-selling author Ray Comfort (Hell’s Best Kept Secret, Scientific Facts in the Bible). Minneapolis, MN – Target announced today the retail giant will be discontinuing sales of the Holy Bible. The company has come under fire recently from religious groups for its new transgender bathroom policy. The King James Bible has been available for purchase at Target stores ever since the company was founded as Goodfellow Dry Goods back in 1902. Speaking with CNBC, Target CEO Bryan Hornell cited recent protests from what he calls “religious extremists” as the reason to pull the bible from its shelves. “Target will no longer cater to religious extremists,” said Hornell. “If that means removing the bible from our shelves, then so be it.” Hornell said the big box chain is “sticking to its guns” regarding their bathroom policy, and will be phasing out anything having to do with religion. “We believe that everyone, every team member, every guest, and every community, deserves to be treated equally, regardless of their religious beliefs.” Source: Associated Press
BY: HILLEL ITALIE NEW YORK (AP) -- On the latest list of books most objected to at public schools and libraries, one title has been targeted nationwide, at times for the sex and violence it contains, but mostly for the legal issues it raises. The Bible. "You have people who feel that if a school library buys a copy of the Bible, it's a violation of church and state," says James LaRue, who directs the Office for Intellectual Freedom for the American Library Association, which released its annual 10 top snapshot of "challenged" books on Monday, part of the association's "State of Libraries Report" for 2016. With confidence in organized religion at an all-time low, nearly one in seven Americans says following the Bible would harm society.

At 9 percent the Bible fared better than the Quran — 24 percent said Islam’s holy book is dangerous and 33 percent said following its teachings would be bad for society. Just 28 percent said they believe following the Quran’s teaching would be good for American society, compared to 80 percent who said that about the Bible.
Source: WBTV Author: Nancy Amons PORTLAND, TN (WSMV) -In Portland, TN, a towering billboard quotes a Leviticus passage from the Old Testament: "You shall not lie with a man as with a woman. It is an abomination." Ronnie Monday, a Vietnam veteran, is the man behind the message. He commissioned the billboard and paid for it with donations from some friends. It has been up for four months. "When the president came out and indicated that he thought that gay marriage was OK, that was pretty much the last straw," Monday said. Chris Sanders is the executive director of the Tennessee Equality Project, a group that supports gay rights. "It's a free country. The man has the right to put it up there. We're not questioning that; we're questioning whether it's the right message," he said. |
